The new issue of the "Liberal Emphasis"quarterly (vol. 40, July-September 2009) has just been published. It includes a special section on “The environment and environmental policies” as well as a folder on “The participation of women in the European social and political life”. The section Opinion Articles inter alia, discusses the Greek-Chinese agreement regarding the Cosco investment in Piraeus. Moreover, Jersy Busek, president of the European Parliament, writes about energy and environment and Nikolaos Tzifakis deals with the privatization of security, in the section Special Issues. Also, it includes a portrait of the Kennedy political dynasty while the book review section presents several Greek and international publications, on themes such as liberalism and media.
